"Playa Mazunte"
"Playa Mazunte" originated with the view from an open air cabin
or "cabana", located in Mazunte, on the coast of the Oaxacan state
of Mexico. Captivated by the rough surf rolling in, the artist noticed
how the waves crossed each other, creating whirlpools and glistening
patterns on the sandy surface. The fronds of the palm trees draped
the window, providing a curtain for the ocean stage. Based on sketches
