The artist will be showing her Mountain and Luna series at this event. DATE: 10.09.2006 Greetings, The Belltown Lofts Gallery is excited to announce the art opening of "Past & Present", works by Ingrid on Friday October the 13th from 7-9pm. She is coming to us off of successful shows in both Seattle and New York with a retrospective of her works over the past six years. Her work draws from the surrealist tradition; utilizing bold lines and vibrant colors to create pieces that contain intense emotions and subtle moods. Take a moment and browse her website www.ingridalvarez.com , it contains the full catalogue of the works. It also contains some writings which provide an unique insight into this vital local artist. In this our 23rd exhibit, Belltown Lofts Gallery continues to provide exhibition space for both local and emerging artists while we foster our community and it's support of the arts. We are located at 66 Bell Street, at the corner of Bell and Western in Seattles' Belltown neighborhood. I look forward to seeing you all this Friday as we celebrate the work of Ms.McNeely. If you have any questions, email me. Greetings! Join the collaborators of La Familia Gallery and I tomorrow night, First Thursday, September 7, 2006. La Familia Gallery is located at the Tashiro Kaplan building on Prefontaine, in between S. Washington and Yesler Way - two doors down from All City Coffee: -- La Familia Gallery -- This is a group show with a "found object" theme. The piece I am showing is titled "Third Eye Open", made of abandoned and collaged silk screen frames, nails and wires connecting to found wood panels floating in the center of each frame. The oil paintings on these panels reflect an homage to artist Alex Grey, the music of Tool and most importantly, an awakening of realization. Please see my preview flier attached. Feel free to contact me with any questions. 'll be at the gallery around 5:30 or 6:00 p.m. and will continue celebrating the artwalk afterwards. Have a wonderful day! Sincerely, Ingrid.
